Extension Mosspods

Contemporary Extensions Crafted to Transform Your Home

Extra space created by a modern extension is invaluable to the enjoyment of your home, especially if you don’t want to move.
The MOSSpods are leading examples of high-spec, sustainable, British construction and are extremely versatile in their use. The highly insulated buildings exceed building regulation standards and benefit from very high eco credentials. Sitting perfectly in both contemporary and traditional settings, they are ideal solutions for adding personal and financial value to your home.  Find the full specification of our MOSSpods on the Garden Room Pods page.

“Our MOSSpod is everything that we hoped for and much more – it has transformed the way we use our house and has become the space where everyone wants to be.”
– Helen and Gordon near Bath

Why choose a Mosspod for your extension?

Liaising with endless contractors for a project can be daunting and our clients have loved the ease of working under one contract with one team for every step of the way. Our designers and builders know every aspect of a build and we have the skills and knowledge to adapt well to tricky scenarios.

Without needing to fork out for traditional Architectural fees, the MOSSpods are already exquisitely designed by our own Architects and Designers right down to the last screw and are fully checked by our Structural Engineer and Building Regs Consultants. The process for both design and installation of the MOSSpods is far quicker than traditional procurement as there is no need for an Architect’s full design package nor a tedious tendering process to several contractors for uncertain quotations.

How is a Mosspod Attached to a House?

The MOSSpod is attached to the existing building very lightly at floor and roof level and requires minimal foundations and disruption. The structural design allows your property to retain all integrity and breathability.
Following a site visit and design meeting at your home a MOSS designer draws up a set of proposals that are tailored to your brief and to your property’s construction.

How is it Linked Inside?

The MOSS team carries out all building and decorating work you need to integrate the new building seamlessly into the existing house. Alongside the MOSSpods we offer a full renovation package, including bespoke cabinetry, interior design and landscaping, all overseen by our project managers and installed by our expert craftsmen.

Will I need Planning Permission?

An extension MOSSpod will not require planning permission, in the majority of cases. They fall within permitted development height and size restrictions. Most properties have a certain amount of ‘permitted development’ allowance without needing to apply for planning. It can be a surprising amount.
If you do require permission, MOSS provides a full service to produce, submit and monitor any type of application you need.
If you want to check your permitted development rights, Contact us for help.
