Encourage longer stays in your glamping pods.
Discourage the odd one-night-stay that will only cost you more than you make.
Putting a 3-night minimum into your staying policy encourages longer stays, which will be more economically and logistically beneficial for the running of your glamping business. Each time you have new guests, the cost of cleaning, new linen and associated housekeeping in the glamping pods can be problematic, particularly if you have a series of 1 or 2 night stays in a month. This is one of the reasons why it is becoming the norm for your competitors to apply a minimum stay for guests, unless of course they are targeting walkers and cyclists passing through on their journeys.
It can be tricky when people book for 1 night mid-week, eliminating the potential for someone to book a week-long stay at that time, which would be considerably more lucrative. Think about how you will want to interact with your guests as well; will people staying just one night need the same greeting and tour of the site as a family staying for a week?
You can always add a side note to your booking form that suggests people phone you to discuss shorter stays. That way you can accept the booking if it suits you.
